FREE! Notting Hill Nurseries Carnival

  • Aug 8, 2016

There are a few ways to get ready for Carnival later this month and this is a great place to start with younger children in mind. We have been going to this annual event for the last 4 years and it always proves to be popular with my two. Having been given a different theme every year, the local nurseries make their own costumes and take part in a small parade to some steelpan music. There are a couple of free bouncy castles for the children to enjoy and the Junior Steelband Competition takes part here aswell so you get to enjoy hearing several bands perform too. Maybe it's just us, but hearing steel pans always makes us feel happy and uplifted. So with them and the colour costumes we hadn't even noticed the clouds gathering overhead as everything still seemed sunny and bright!
